Virus Update

Navigate have come across a spate of virus outbreaks within the last week or so. As per usual, making sure you have up-to-date anti-virus will usually negate the potential problems these viruses can cause. However, actively opening infected software packages is highly likely to cause a virus to be installed however good your anti-virus software is!

Things to look out for:

A recent virus is being distributed via an infected PDF file in a humorous email. Do not open this PDF file. In general it is best practice not to open non-work related email sent to your work account.

Wightcable Outage Resolved

The previous Wightcable broadband outage now seems to be resolved.

There is currently an issue with the Wightcable Broadband network. According to Wightcable this is affecting all users and there is presently no ETA for a fix.

Hosting downtime
